Fees and Insurance

Fees for Midwifery Services

Fees are due at the time of service and total fee is due four weeks prior to your due date. The normal regular fee is $3,600.00. You may pay cash in advance and have the fee reduced by $1,000. If a client leaves my services before 36 weeks they will receive a refund for services not rendered. No other refunds will be made. If you have insurance that pays for a midwife attended homebirth, I will be happy to file the insurance papers after the birth. You are still responsible for the deductible, co-pay and whatever the insurance might refuse to pay for. At this time I am not able to take Medicaid. We are working towards getting Medicaid reimbursement for midwives in the future. Fees for lab work are individual fees. I try to keep these fees as reasonable as possible. Lab fees for the whole pregnancy will run approximately between $150 – $300 depending on what we need to test for.

Fee for Doula Services

The fee for providing doula services which will include three prenatal visits, the labor and one postpartum visit is $900. This may be paid in three $300 payments but must be paid in full by the time you are in labor. You might check with your insurance to see if they will cover the fee for doula services. I do not file insurance for this. You would have to file it yourself. I will provide a billing statement when you make your payment.

Fee for Childbirth Classes

I offer a six week series of childbirth classes. The fee for the class series is $150. This does include a handbook and handouts.
